Scarabaeus+ 05.00.0006: The Highlights of the new Update!

As with previous updates, the imminent Scarabaeus+ update (the roll-out being scheduled for the end of November) will implement a number of suggestions and requests for expansions made by our customers. The features include the following highlights:

• Qualification and Validation:
  • Regarding 21 CFR Part 11: Each module provides for the forced input of an electronic signature (input of user name and password) before a given user is authorized to access the data in question (for instance, in batch releasing).
  • The improved problem-tracking database now provides for a particularly clear representation of the workflow of your change management.
    
    
• Calculation and Controlling:
  • The cost value calculation on the batch level now reflects—aside from the costs of resources—the costs of production and of the quality control, plus other freely definable cost shares.
  • The pricing now allows for the combination of monetary discounts and discounts in kind.
    
    
• Production Planning:
  • Production data can now be detached for precision planning with MS Project, separated according to freely definable planning sectors. The data reflects—aside from the production period and resource usage period—both the delivery dates for ordered raw materials (purchasing) and the delivery dates for the finished products to the customer (sales).
  • The determination of the scheduled manufacturing period takes into account—aside from variable time factors (manufacturing period depending on the batch quantity)—fixed time factors as well (set-up-, cleaning-, and quality control periods).
    
    
• Production:
  • Scarabaeus+ CAP (computer-aided processing in production) is now capable of discharge-weighing, i.e. the needed quantity is discharged from a full container on the scales. The discharged quantity equals the recorded consumption).
  • The chronology function, recording the actual usage of resources, has been simplified by explicit start- and quit actions.
    
• Data research under Scarabaeus+:
  • The sector search (from – up to, > or <) can also be conducted in numerical fields and date fields now.
