CAW (Computer-Guided Weighing)

Scarabaeus+ CAW, whose functions are similarly mapped in the Scarabaeus+ expansion CAP, can be used to expand an existing material management system (e.g. SAP R/3) to include computer-guided weighing.

Batch-related weighing orders and weighing protocols are managed and saved in a separate database (Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server). The system also contains the entire control and data polling for the connected weighing machines. To this end, the software drivers for weighing machine communication protocols of any standard make can be used.

Weighing orders from the hosting material management system are received over suitable interfaces while the status of raw materials is controlled and the consumption of resources is reported back.

Scarabaeus+ CAW was successfully validated for one of our customers as early as 1999.
