- Batch Management
- Any goods receipt, regardless of whether it result from a
purchase order, consignment or production, and regardless of
whether it be a raw material, semi-finished or finished goods,
is given a unique ID, the so-called ident number Illustration
1, 2, 3 and 4
- Define rules for the creation of batch names according to
customer specifications
- All goods receipt information relevant for production and
quality control (e. g. item, vendor, vendor batch, incoming
date, quantity, cost price, activity, expiration date, share
of solvents, release status, test characteristics, etc.) remain
inseparably linked to this ident number.
- Uninterrupted batch tracking is guaranteed and clearly visualized
in the system Illustration
- Warehouse Organisation
- Map any number of warehouses, each with any number of storage
locations
- Set the storage strategy (mixed batch/single batch) for the
entire warehouse and for each storage location
- Use warehouse rules to restrict the use of a given storage
location to certain entry types (e.g. entry of released batches
only)
- Use inventory planning for perpetual inventory on the storage
location level
- The system provides for the labeling of all containers and
storage locations with barcodes. This is urgently recommended.
- Warehouse Entry
- Manual entry by warehouse staff (incoming, outgoing, stock
transfers, adjustments)
- Automatic entry via feedback from manufacturing steps (usage,
incoming semi-finished and finished goods from production)
- Error-free batch identification through barcode labeling
on the batch labels (wherever barcode scanners/mobile entry
terminals are used) Illustration
- Warehouse Entry and -Movement Information
- Online stock information by warehouse, storage location,
item, ident number (= unique ID of goods receipts)
