Functionalities

Production Planning/Production: Detailed batch tracking, comfortable managing of bills of material, manufacturing instructions and resources.
- Expansions: semi-automatic material disposition, interface to production planning via MS Project, computer-guided executing of manufacturing instructions, including their GMP-conforming documentation, computer-controlled weighing [using Scarabaeus+ CAP]
Quality Control: Managing and execution of testing orders; release of raw materials, batches, storage sites and resources, maintenance and calibration of production facilities.
Material- and Inventory management: Freely definable, differentiated warehouse- and storage site management, warehouse inventory- and movement data.
Purchasing/Sales: Mapping and tracking of all commercial transactions, automatic identification of prices and discounts; multiple-currency capability; sales planning.
Reports/ Print-Outs: If the reports / print material are appropriately set up, Scarabaeus+ provides for the direct printing of all master- and movement data. Individual adaptation of the standard reports integrated into Scarabaeus+, as well as the generating of one's own reports, is effected through the report generator contained in MS Access 2000.

Validation Capability

With regard to its development and its functionalities (e.g., audit trailing, batch tracking, and release management), our software fulfils the requirements of Annex 11 of the EU GMP guideline while complying with the guidelines of the APV, the FDA (21 CFR Part 11) as well as the latest GAMP guide for validating automated systems in the pharmaceutical sector).
This way, Scarabaeus+ supports companies that use the program in the validation of their production systems.

Flexibility

Scarabaeus+ is not a program bought "off the rack." Each installation is individually planned and adapted to meet the respective customer needs. Moreover, all users are provided with their version of the program source codes, so that they can effect modifications of their own if applicable.

Data access and further processing of any given data from a database by using other programs of the Microsoft Office family (Word, Excel) is possible.

Minimum requirements for system architecture:

Client / server architecture for networked PC systems
Server operating system:
Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server
Workstations:
Windows 2000 Professional oder Windows XP Professional
Server database:
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or higher (SQL Server 2000 recommended).

Minimum requirements for hardware:

Server:
Depending on the database used; as a minimum, however, Dual Pentium III processor, having 500 MHz and 1 GB or more RAM, hard drive capacity 30 GB minimum, plus suitable data backup system.
Workstations:
As a minimum, Pentium III with a RAM of 450 MHz and 256 MB minimum.
Network connection for all workstations and server (TPC / IP protocol).
